Helping girls and women
get unstuck and move forward

You want a calm mind, confident body,
and courageous heart

But uncontrolled anxiety keeps your thoughts stuck in worry mode, your body anchored in fear and self-judgment, and your heart worn-out.

I help women and girls just like you manage anxiety and stress so you’re free to experience joy and feel motivated. If you just can’t take it anymore, Contact me to get started on a path to wellness.

Sexual Trauma

Are you struggling with sleep problems, relationship issues, or running scenarios in your mind? Is it hard to calm your nerves or have faith that your life can be good again after experiencing sexual trauma? I’m here to tell you it can be good, and counseling can help you work through your trauma without letting it determine your life. Remember: “You are wounded, not ruined…” –Susan Forward, PhD

Women of All Ages (18+)

I work best with women who want to change their patterns and gain confidence in who they are. If you’re struggling in relationships, work, or figuring out your identity, I’d be honored to help you work through your anxiety or trauma to see all the possibilities for a happier, healthier life.

Teens (ages 13-17)

Teen girls need a safe space to talk about body image issues, pressure to perform well, and all the stress that comes with trying to fit in with friends and figure out future goals. Counseling provides teen girls with the tools to manage difficult emotions and create new outlooks on life. I also coach parents on the best ways to support and respond to the anxiety and stress teen girls feel.

Jacquelynn Kuhn, LMHC

I believe in working with every client to design a treatment plan unique to your situation – one size truly does not fit all when it comes to mental health treatment. You don’t have to be diagnosed with a mental health disorder in order to benefit from therapy, and I believe there is more to you than any mental health diagnosis can explain. With that said, I’m very skilled in providing accurate diagnoses, and you should be aware that there are positives and negatives to obtaining a mental health diagnosis. If you have any questions about that, just ask during our initial consultation.

“If you empty yourself of yesterday’s sorrows, you will have much more room for today’s joy.”

Can I Control My Anxiety? – Part 5

Can I Control My Anxiety? – Part 4

When someone tells you to concentrate on the good things in your life and be grateful for what you have despite the abuse you’ve suffered, please remember you can’t erase trauma, oppression, and hurt feelings by skipping to “what’s good in my life.”  You can talk about your pain from hurtful, traumatic experiences in order to process your hurt feelings and at the same time be grateful for good things in your life – you don’t have to choose one or the other.
